BOYSETSFIRE benefit shows

Boysetsfire played 2 benefit shows last weekend in Frauenau (South-east of Bayern-Germany) for supporting the Jugendcafe Zwiesel which will be closed due that the owners of the building want to sell it, and the intention of those two days shows were for collecting enough money for buying the place and that way don't lose a venue where most of punk, rock, hc shows and more activities that are used done there.

my friend Nina told me about going with her to that show, she is a big fan of BSF, and as I had never before the chance to see 'em (well, one time they played in 2004 at Ateneu de Vallcarca, which was a well known social center of Barcelona, but unfortunately I missed that show) so i said, ok let's go!

It was such a good show, such a intense and energetic. See the people singingalong nearly with every song, and I was stocked cause I was in the middle of the crowd shooting photos and without the worry of getting harmed.

This is how it was.

Back from some few days in Hamburg visiting a couple of my cousins who live there, I got the chance to go to the show of EXPIRE & ROTTING OUT at a club called HAFENKLANG.
As support band was BENEATH THE WHEEL, but unfortunately due my "tardiness" I missed their set.
Both bands, R.O & EXPIRE, gave a good set and people were supporting all the time, though the crowd went more nuts with EXPIRE.
From here says thanks to the guys of R.O. (Wallyedge and Benji) for their copperation with my photo project.

Good start.

HOAX played last 13rd february in Prague, Czech Republic, and due I'm living in an area of Germany that is not so far away from that nice city, a friend of mine and me decided to get into the car and drive to there.
We arrived a little bit late (we couldn't skip to eat the tasty food at THE LOVING HUT) than we missed the first band, so we saw CONTROLLED EXISTENCE which was a grind-core band that wondered me, I am not so fan of this style but it was a good set what they played, and very short, I think that each song it was maximum 1 minute lenght.
In spite that I have not been often at shows these first weeks of 2013, I can't complain cause this has been the first show and it was such a good one.

SUNDAY' HC-PUNK MATINEE

Sunday 02th December @ KUNSTVEREIN - NÜRNBERG.

 This show started early, it was some kinda matinee, though for me it looked like a normal show that starts at 9 o'clock due that here right now is winter and around 16hr or 17hr gets dark. The venue is a well know self-managed social center with more than 30 years on activity, and where lot of punk and hardcore bands have been playing.

The nite started with BARREN, vegan sxe band from Thüringen (GERMANY) and which caught my attention, cause their sound is very 90's hc style (think about CULTURE, RISEN, FACEDOWN, etc) Unfortunately I have had an lil' accident with the photos that I shot of this band, do not why hell all the pictures have dissapeared from the memory card, so I have to search for a recovery files program and hope to get those photos as soon as possible.

BARCELONA DE PLÁSTICO!

Last 19th november at the jugendhaus of Erlangen (a nearby city to Nuremberg) was playing one of my current favourite hc-punk bands from Barcelona, ABSURDO.
They are on tour around Europe, and this show was so good that they stopped at this place. ABSURDO is a fast and angry hc-punk 80's style, in the vein of VOID, SSD or "VICTIM IN PAIN" sound of AGNOSTIC FRONT. They were sharing the stage with a new german fastcore band called Is Dodelijk and a duo-band called STREET EATERS, which was just a drummer and a bass player and cause this, they made me think a lot about THE WHITE STRIPES. It was a cool monday' nite.

Here you are some of the photos of what it was a total insane show last friday Nov. 2nd at Woody's in Schleiz (Eastern Germany).

GUILTY opened the show making some kids start their engines for the next bands.

RISK IT! this german hc band had such a good set and feedback from the crowd and with them practically start the madness of this show.

NO TURNING BACK had also such a great set with people going crazy all the time.

TERROR as always giving their maximum level of HC, and showing why after this 10 years as band, they are still carrying the name of HC at full strength.

BERLIN, STUTTGART AND DRESDEN ASOZIAL

Last week I was looking forward to this show because I like these the german bands: FINAL PRAYER and EMPOWERMENT (which actually are together on tour), mainly this last one which has became in my favourite hc band due their music, lyrics and attitude (click on the image and check out their blogspot if you don't know yet them.) 

This was the first show I was shooting with the new lens that I've got, a tamron 17-50mm 2.8, it was a lil' bit hard to manage the exposure and light, anyway I will get familiar with it as much as im still shooting photos with it.

DOG CHAINS 

Show debut of this german sxe hc band. It was cool set the one they played, people shown a good feedback/support to them. 

BLINDSIDE
Belgian sxe hc band with clear influences of bands like THE ABUSED. Their set also was cool, people in the pit and singingalong. Nice that they covered LIKE YOU of JUDGE, good one!

NOT AFRAID

 With members of JUSTICE and TRUE COLORS, this was another belgian sxe hc band of the night. For fans of 80's nyhc bands like STRAIGHT AHEAD.
